Remember that band that opened before the the opening band at the emo show? Or that couple performing puppetry with a minimal electronic soundtrack? You bet can be a lot of scientists do--they love to love the obscure! However, should said artist gain notoriety and popularity, he or she immediately falls our of favor. I don't know, I've not met a lot of scientists who like obscure popular culture stuff. Now obscure stuff that is related to their work (like HP calculators or Linux) I'd agree they like, but that's only because scientist want to be "unique". If they didn't they'd be making lots more money working for a corporation.
BTW, one thing this scientist does not like is those annoying word verifications on blogs which are nigh impossible to read and take multiple times to get right. ;)
do you have to do the verification if you're in a blogger account?
Yes, I'm commenting through my Google/Blogger account and still have to word verify.
Actually, a few other people have mentioned not wanting to comment for that reason. We'll look into changing settings...
