If you don't get this, you aren't a nerd

Proposition I:
Stuff White People Like ∩ Stuff Scientists Like = ∅

Proposition II:
Stuff Scientists Like ⊂ Stuff White People Like

Which one is true? Which one is false?

Let a be: http://stuffwhitepeoplelike.com/2008/06/12/104-sweaters/

Then we know that...

a ∈ Stuff White People Like

We can prove that Proposition II is false by showing that....

∃ scientist, such that that scientist does not like sweaters.

Given that I am a scientist. And I do not like sweaters, then....

a ∉ Stuff Scientists Like

Which proves that Proposition II is false :-)

BTW... I've always found that Stuff White People Like site somewhat of a misnomer.

Maybe it's different in Canada (where I'm from). But the culture that is being portrayed on Stuff White People Like is more the what I see from some people in the metropolitan cities.

(Like certain parts of Vancouver.)

The culture of people in the suburbs is much much different. There's more of a martial flavor to the culture in the suburbs.

That site should perhaps be called "What Metropolitan White People Like" :-)

It's a misnomer on purpose. I think half the fun of that blog is seeing white people come out and complain about how it doesnt fit them and theyre being unfairly stereotyped. Basically, if you post there to say that it's inaccurate, youre one of the people who "doesnt get it" and are just part of the joke. If you still dont get it youll be told youre "the wrong kind of white person" and such things.
